“ASCO was founded in April, 1959. I came to Canada as an immigrant in 1959 when the opportunity came up to purchase a small company. At that time Asco was 3000 sq ft,  located in an old TTC horse stable and had 2 employees.As a professional tool and die maker, it was perfect for me as we were manufactuding funiture hardware only for the furntiure industries (table slides, leg brackets, angles, etc, which se still manufacture).”

We have grown over these last 57 years to become one of Canada’s leading furniture suppliers for our educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities.

ASCO’s product line has expanded from highly specialized steel parts to full fledged designer lines. Over the years ASCO also expanded vastly into combined woodworking and metal. We now occupy a 45,000sq ft plant and employ over 30 people, including some of the most accomplished tradesmen in the country.

Every aspect of manufacturing is built right here, by us, from scratch and all of our raw materials are sourced locally, in Canada.

While other companies have had to offshore pieces and parts in order to keep their prices competitive, we haven’t, which has allowed us not only to survive tough economic times, but given us the ability to stand behind every single product that we produce. Every ASCO product comes with a 10-year warranty on the metal parts. That’s how deeply we believe in our quality.”
